The human being adores the God since the beginning of history. Adam and Eva had regular communion with God in the garden of the Éden (cf. Gn 3,8). Caim and Abel had brought the God offerings (hb. minhah, term also translated by “tribute” or gift”) of vegetables and animals (Gn 4,3, 4). The Seven descendants invoked “the name Mr.” (Gn 4,26). Noah constructed to an altar the Mr. to offer holocaustos after the dilúvio (Gn 8,20). Abraão designated the landscape of the land promised with altars to offer to holocaustos Mr. (Gn 12,7, 8; 13.4, 18; 22.9) and intimamente said with It (Gn 18.23-33; 22.11-18).
After the Exodus, when the Tabernáculo was constructed, it only is that the public worship became formal. From now on, regular sacrifices had especially passed to be offered daily, and in Saturday, and God established some annual sacred parties as occasions of public cult of the Israelis (Êx 23.14-17; Lv 1-7; Dt 12; 16). The cult the God later was centered in the temple of Jerusalem (cf. the plans of Davi, as tell 1Cr 22-26). When the temple was destroyed, in 586 B.C., the Jews had constructed to synagogues as local of education of the law and worship the God while in the exile, and where it wants that they came to live. The synagogues had continued in use for the cult, exactly after constructed as the temple for Zorobabel (Ed 3-6). In the times of the NT it had synagogues in Palestine and all the parts of the Roman world (e.g. Lc 4.16; Jo 6.59; At 6.9; 13.14; 14.1; 17.1, 10; 18.4; 19.8; 22.19).
The worship in the primitive church was given in such a way in the temple of Jerusalem how much in particular houses (At 2,46, 47). Except of Jerusalem, the Christians gave to cult the God in the synagogues, meanwhile he was allowed to them. When it was forbidden to them to use them, had started to cultuar the God in other places, generally in particular houses (cf. At 18.7; Rm 16.5; CL 4.15; Fm v. 2), but, to the times, in public halls (At 19,9, 10).
